MENEM AHYR BIR SPORTIF MOWZUK ACDYM
Third host fifth in the Premier League on Saturday evening with both Arsenal and Manchester City looking to bounce back after shattering late defeats last weekend.
City, hunting down their first ever participation in the Champions League by finishing fourth in the domestic standings ahead of Tottenham Hotspur, looked to have earned a point in the Mancunian derby - until Paul Scholes headed a winner for Manchester United with mere seconds remaining.
If that was demoralising, what happend to Arsenal the following day was even more traumatic. Attempting to shrug off the hangover of a midweek defeat by arch-rivals Spurs, the Gunners were 2-0 ahead and looking comfortable at the DW Stadium before imploding spectacularly as Wigan Athletic's dogged persistence yielded a staggering three goals - and three precious points - in the last 10 minutes.
